The price for beauty has its risks.

Helen Hawthorne has had her fair share of dead-end jobs. From country clubs to bridal salons, she’s done it all and then some. The plethora of experiences may not have enhanced her bank account, but with each new job comes an adventure not weighted in gold. Perhaps one day she’ll score big.  Until then, she thankfully enjoys whatever life throws her way.

Helen’s latest position has landed her in Ft. Lauderdale’s trendiest salon as the girl Friday to the suave celebrity stylist, Miguel Angel. From starlets to sophisticated socialites, Miguel’s chair is by far the hottest seat in town. Even the fiancée to the infamous gossip blogger King Oden frequents his salon. Without a doubt, this chic establishment is the place to be and be seen.

Unexpectedly, Miguel’s fame and good fortune takes a sudden nosedive when the notorious King is found dead at his own wedding reception. To make matters worse, Miguel’s public sparring with the now deceased groom puts him at the top of the list as a likely suspect.  Just when Helen thought she had found the perfect job, her primo position seems to be heading quickly down the drain.

Realizing it’s up to her to save her job as well as her boss, Helen begins her own investigation into this perplexing murder case.  With the help of her fiancée, the clues start stacking up, putting the murderer on high alert. Will Helen be able to clear Miguel’s name or will she become the next victim found floating in the pool?
